The 4th annual Welsh Classic Pinball Open takes place on Sunday the 18th of September 2011 and is a competition played on early solid state, pre dot-matrix machines. Machines will be available for practise from Saturday the 17th.
An excellent report of last years event is available at Pinball News thanks to Martin Ayub. Congratulations to Nick Marshall on his 2nd win in a row, if he wins again this year he gets to keep the trophy.
Held in South Wales at Ochran Mill, members of the South West Pinball League will already be familiar with the veune.
The event is once again approved by the IFPA so will be eligible for World Pinball Player Ranking points.

We have a rather unique format that unlike a standard knockout guarantees all players to play several different machines. Because of this we would ask that players staying over night or living nearby notify us at the time of registration so that the first round can take place as early as possible.
The first segment of Round 1 takes place as soon after 10:30am as possible with a later group for those travelling from further away. We will try to ensure all player badges are filled out prior to registration in order to speed things along
Abergavenny Food Festival is also taking place on the 17th/18th of September so why not stay overnight, get in some practise (and join us for a few beers) and make a weekend of it.
Entry to the competition costs £7.50. Entry for spectators is £2.50, child spectators are free. The entry fee reflects the fact that refreshments will be provided free of charge.
